Last Saturday, our company had a dinner together and organized the activity-Bo Bing to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, in addition to the traditional moon-watching and mooncake eating, Xiamen people also have a unique folk activity of "playing mooncakes to win the first place", which is quite interesting.

Each Mid-Autumn Mooncake has 63 pieces of different sizes, divided into 6 types, representing the first place, second place, third place, jinshi, juren, and scholar in the ancient imperial examinations. Participants take turns throwing 6 dice into the bowl, and get mooncakes according to the number of dice thrown into the bowl. The one who finally wins the "first place" is the luckiest.

Originated in Xiamen, Bo Bing is a unique traditional Mid-Autumn Festival activity in southern Fujian for hundreds of years. It is a unique mooncake culture and a heritage of history. The founder of Bo Bing activity is Zheng Chenggong from Nan'an, Quanzhou. In those days, Zheng Chenggong ordered his subordinates to invent this game in order to encourage the soldiers who were homesick. After hundreds of years of changes, it has become a unique Mid-Autumn Festival culture, and now it has become popular in Fujian.

Rules of Bo Bing:

Generally, there are 10 people at a table, but it can be more or less. Too few people will make the atmosphere less lively. Too many people, if there are more than 12 people, will result in fewer prizes and a longer round that will affect the atmosphere.

First, designate one person (usually the oldest person at the table) to take two dice and throw out a number of points, such as n points. The person who throws the dice will count counterclockwise to the nth person, who will be the starter of this Bo Bing.

Counterclockwise, each person must throw 6 dice into the big bowl together each time (I emphasize again that you must use a porcelain bowl to make the dice jump up, increase the number of rotations, and add to the atmosphere). Everyone throws the dice in turn and gets the cake based on the number of dice. If the dice falls out of the big bowl, this round will be invalid and you will continue to participate in the next round (traditionally, you cannot throw in the next round and you have to leave a round).

The person with 1 "four points" will get a Xiu Bing (Xiu Cai). Take until all the dice are taken. There are 32 in total.

If there are 2 "four points", you get two Jubing (Juren). You get them all. There are 16 in total.

If there are 4 identical points (except red four), you get four Jinbing (Jinshi). You get them all. There are 8 in total.

If there are 3 "four points", you get three Hongbing. You get them all. There are 4 in total.

If the dice points are 1 to 6 in order, you get Duitangbing (Bangyan, Tanhua), there are 2 in total.
